Thank you so much for your instruction materials. I canīt believe that you once did not consider yourself a teacher. I think you are a great teacher. I enjoyed "Vamps, Jams and Improvisation", and right now i am enjoying "Gypsy Jazz Duets".
I never had a teacher, but through your materials i have the feeling that there is someone who can talk to me about making music and being musical. You have a way of making it understandable and playable.
I love the fact that you do not simply throw out scales, arpeggios or terms as "question & answer", but you demonstrate it, and you do it in a way that i (and i am sure many others as well) can relate to and use in my own playing.
You talk about making music as opposed to just technique. That reminds me very much of my friend Patrick Saussois (french GJ guitarist). I always pressured him to show me stuff, but he would just spend a lot of time talking to me about music, and listening with me to records etc. Only now do i realize how important that was.
With your videos i get the same "vibe", and the instruction :-).

Again, thank you very much!

Haven't had a chance to catch you live since you were at Chandler Center for the Arts with Mark O'Connor and Jon Burr, but that evening stands out as one of the best concerts I've ever seen. I hope your tour schedule brings you back this way soon.

I saw your gig at Place des Arts Montreal Jazz fest. You played your ass off for 1 1/4 hours. I found the volume a bit too low for my liking. It was a nice experience. I dig your playing. Your Gerschwin CD really got me hooked to your music. Thanks.

My husband and I so enjoyed your thrilling, manic gypsy tunes as well as the tender, expressive ballads at the Chet Atkins festival last week. We hope your plans to come to the West Coast come to fruition...if you play it, we will come!
